Barangay Datu Danwata

Barangay Datu Danwata is a large barangay in the municipality of Malita, located in the province of Davao Occidental, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Datu Danwata had a population of 5,993. This made it the 4th largest of 30 barangays in Malita by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Datu Danwata accounted for approximately 5.07% of the total population of Malita, which stood at 118,197 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Datu Danwata moving from 6,386 residents to 5,993 residents, an intercensal change of -6.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
