Barangay Kibalatong

Barangay Kibalatong forms part of Malita, a municipality in Davao Occidental, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kibalatong had a population of 1,273. This made it the 29th largest of 30 barangays in Malita by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kibalatong accounted for approximately 1.08% of the total population of Malita, which stood at 118,197 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Kibalatong moving from 1,296 residents to 1,273 residents, an intercensal change of -1.8%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kibalatong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malita is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kibalatong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
