Barangay Poblacion

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of Malitbog in Bukidnon, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 3,804. This made it the 2nd largest of 11 barangays in Malitbog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 14.23% of the total population of Malitbog, which stood at 26,741 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 3,386 residents to 3,804 residents, an intercensal change of +12.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malitbog is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
