Barangay Manano

Situated in Mallig, Isabela, Barangay Manano is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Manano had a population of 2,222. This made it the 5th largest of 18 barangays in Mallig by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manano accounted for approximately 6.90% of the total population of Mallig, which stood at 32,208 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Manano moving from 1,947 residents to 2,222 residents, an intercensal change of +14.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Manano as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mallig is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manano, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
