Barangay I-A (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay I-A (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Manapla in Negros Occidental, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay I-A (Pob.) had a population of 4,242. This made it the 6th largest of 12 barangays in Manapla by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay I-A (Pob.) accounted for approximately 7.70% of the total population of Manapla, which stood at 55,083 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,040 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 4,242 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay I-A (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Manapla is a municipality comprising 12 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay I-A (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Negros Occidental, which contains 662 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay I-A (Pob.) ranks 231st by 2020 population.
