Barangay Cabit

Barangay Cabit is a small barangay in the municipality of Manito, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cabit had a population of 1,190. This made it the 9th largest of 15 barangays in Manito by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabit accounted for approximately 4.55% of the total population of Manito, which stood at 26,162 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cabit moving from 1,093 residents to 1,190 residents, an intercensal change of +8.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cabit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
