Barangay Cawayan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cawayan is one of the administrative divisions of Manito in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cawayan had a population of 1,867. This made it the 5th largest of 15 barangays in Manito by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cawayan accounted for approximately 7.14% of the total population of Manito, which stood at 26,162 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cawayan moving from 1,805 residents to 1,867 residents, an intercensal change of +3.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cawayan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
