Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion forms part of Manjuyod, a municipality in Negros Oriental, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 1,099. This made it the 20th largest of 27 barangays in Manjuyod by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 2.45% of the total population of Manjuyod, which stood at 44,799 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 1,118 residents to 1,099 residents, an intercensal change of -1.7%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Manjuyod is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
