Barangay New Panay

Barangay New Panay is a small barangay in the municipality of Maragusan, located in the province of Davao De Oro, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay New Panay had a population of 1,373. This made it the 17th largest of 24 barangays in Maragusan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New Panay accounted for approximately 2.13% of the total population of Maragusan, which stood at 64,412 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay New Panay moving from 1,364 residents to 1,373 residents, an intercensal change of +0.7%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community.
