Barangay Talian

Situated in Maragusan, Davao De Oro, Barangay Talian is one of 24 barangays that make up the municipality within Davao Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Talian had a population of 1,715. This made it the 13th largest of 24 barangays in Maragusan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Talian accounted for approximately 2.66% of the total population of Maragusan, which stood at 64,412 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Talian moving from 1,816 residents to 1,715 residents, an intercensal change of -5.6%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Talian as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
