Barangay Agahay

Situated in Maribojoc, Bohol, Barangay Agahay is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Agahay had a population of 597. This made it the 18th largest of 22 barangays in Maribojoc by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agahay accounted for approximately 2.69% of the total population of Maribojoc, which stood at 22,178 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Agahay changed from 625 to 597, a shift of -4.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Maribojoc. Barangay Agahay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
