Barangay Abangan Norte

Situated in Marilao, Bulacan, Barangay Abangan Norte is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Abangan Norte had a population of 11,417. This made it the 7th largest of 16 barangays in Marilao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Abangan Norte accounted for approximately 4.49% of the total population of Marilao, which stood at 254,453 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 9,424 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 11,417 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +21.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Abangan Norte is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Marilao is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Abangan Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
