Barangay Sto. Niño

Barangay Sto. Niño is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Masantol, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sto. Niño had a population of 3,604. This made it the 3rd largest of 26 barangays in Masantol by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sto. Niño accounted for approximately 6.21% of the total population of Masantol, which stood at 57,990 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Sto. Niño changed from 3,660 to 3,604, a shift of -1.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Masantol. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sto. Niño as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Masantol is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sto. Niño, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Sto. Niño ranks 241st by 2020 population.
