Barangay Itum

Barangay Itum is a small barangay in the municipality of Matalom, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Itum had a population of 1,089. This made it the 14th largest of 30 barangays in Matalom by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Itum accounted for approximately 3.34% of the total population of Matalom, which stood at 32,586 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Itum moving from 1,092 residents to 1,089 residents, an intercensal change of -0.3%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community.
