Barangay Colonsabak

Barangay Colonsabak is a small barangay in the municipality of Matanao, located in the province of Davao Del Sur, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Colonsabak had a population of 1,810. This made it the 15th largest of 33 barangays in Matanao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Colonsabak accounted for approximately 2.99% of the total population of Matanao, which stood at 60,493 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Colonsabak moving from 1,554 residents to 1,810 residents, an intercensal change of +16.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Colonsabak is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
