Barangay Tabunan (Pob.)

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tabunan (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Matnog in Sorsogon, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tabunan (Pob.) had a population of 2,010. This made it the 3rd largest of 40 barangays in Matnog by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tabunan (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.79% of the total population of Matnog, which stood at 41,989 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tabunan (Pob.) moving from 1,788 residents to 2,010 residents, an intercensal change of +12.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tabunan (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
