Barangay Concepcion

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Concepcion is one of the administrative divisions of Mawab in Davao De Oro, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Concepcion had a population of 983. This made it the 11th largest of 11 barangays in Mawab by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Concepcion accounted for approximately 2.48% of the total population of Mawab, which stood at 39,631 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Concepcion changed from 1,119 to 983, a shift of -12.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Mawab. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Concepcion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mawab is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Concepcion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
