Barangay Bongan

Situated in Mayoyao, Ifugao, Barangay Bongan is one of 27 barangays that make up the municipality within CAR.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bongan had a population of 602. This made it the 9th largest of 27 barangays in Mayoyao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bongan accounted for approximately 3.85% of the total population of Mayoyao, which stood at 15,621 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bongan moving from 764 residents to 602 residents, an intercensal change of -21.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
