Barangay Asis II

Barangay Asis II is a small barangay in the municipality of Mendez, located in the province of Cavite, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Asis II had a population of 1,106. This made it the 15th largest of 24 barangays in Mendez by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Asis II accounted for approximately 3.17% of the total population of Mendez, which stood at 34,879 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,044 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,106 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Asis II is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mendez is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Asis II, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cavite, which contains 829 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Asis II ranks 691st by 2020 population. Cavite is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
