Barangay Galicia I

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Galicia I is one of the administrative divisions of Mendez in Cavite, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Galicia I had a population of 1,918. This made it the 4th largest of 24 barangays in Mendez by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Galicia I accounted for approximately 5.50% of the total population of Mendez, which stood at 34,879 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Galicia I changed from 1,812 to 1,918, a shift of +5.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Mendez. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Galicia I as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
