Barangay Agdum

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Agdum is one of the administrative divisions of Miagao in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Agdum had a population of 400. This made it the 64th largest of 119 barangays in Miagao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agdum accounted for approximately 0.59% of the total population of Miagao, which stood at 68,115 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Agdum moving from 345 residents to 400 residents, an intercensal change of +15.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Agdum as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Miagao is a municipality comprising 119 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Agdum, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
