Barangay Bariri

Situated in Miagao, Iloilo, Barangay Bariri is one of 119 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bariri had a population of 143. This made it the 114th largest of 119 barangays in Miagao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bariri accounted for approximately 0.21% of the total population of Miagao, which stood at 68,115 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bariri changed from 133 to 143, a shift of +7.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Miagao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bariri as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Miagao is a municipality comprising 119 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bariri, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
