Barangay Bugtong Lumangan

Barangay Bugtong Lumangan is a very small barangay in the municipality of Miagao, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bugtong Lumangan had a population of 350. This made it the 70th largest of 119 barangays in Miagao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bugtong Lumangan accounted for approximately 0.51% of the total population of Miagao, which stood at 68,115 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bugtong Lumangan changed from 327 to 350, a shift of +7.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Miagao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bugtong Lumangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
