Barangay Lanutan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Lanutan is one of the administrative divisions of Miagao in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lanutan had a population of 549. This made it the 43rd largest of 119 barangays in Miagao by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lanutan accounted for approximately 0.81% of the total population of Miagao, which stood at 68,115 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lanutan moving from 470 residents to 549 residents, an intercensal change of +16.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lanutan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
