Barangay Tiglawa

Barangay Tiglawa forms part of Miagao, a municipality in Iloilo, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tiglawa had a population of 165. This made it the 109th largest of 119 barangays in Miagao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tiglawa changed from 183 to 165, a shift of -9.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Miagao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tiglawa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Miagao is a municipality comprising 119 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tiglawa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tiglawa ranks 1693rd by 2020 population.
