Barangay Puting Buhangin

Barangay Puting Buhangin forms part of Mogpog, a municipality in Marinduque, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Puting Buhangin had a population of 651. This made it the 24th largest of 37 barangays in Mogpog by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Puting Buhangin accounted for approximately 1.89% of the total population of Mogpog, which stood at 34,516 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 749 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 651 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.1%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Puting Buhangin is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
