Barangay Calamay

Barangay Calamay forms part of Moncada, a municipality in Tarlac, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calamay had a population of 914. This made it the 34th largest of 37 barangays in Moncada by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calamay accounted for approximately 1.45% of the total population of Moncada, which stood at 62,819 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 714 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 914 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +28.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Calamay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Moncada is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calamay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Calamay ranks 448th by 2020 population.
