Barangay Magallanes

Barangay Magallanes is a small barangay in the municipality of Nabas, located in the province of Aklan, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Magallanes had a population of 887. This made it the 18th largest of 20 barangays in Nabas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Magallanes accounted for approximately 2.18% of the total population of Nabas, which stood at 40,632 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Magallanes moving from 885 residents to 887 residents, an intercensal change of +0.2%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Magallanes is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
