Barangay Bangkaw-bangkaw

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bangkaw-bangkaw is one of the administrative divisions of Naga in Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bangkaw-bangkaw had a population of 1,014. This made it the 19th largest of 23 barangays in Naga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bangkaw-bangkaw accounted for approximately 2.43% of the total population of Naga, which stood at 41,743 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 788 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,014 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +28.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bangkaw-bangkaw as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Naga is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bangkaw-bangkaw, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
