Barangay Guintoloan

Barangay Guintoloan forms part of Naga, a municipality in Zamboanga Sibugay, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Guintoloan had a population of 1,162. This made it the 18th largest of 23 barangays in Naga by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Guintoloan accounted for approximately 2.78% of the total population of Naga, which stood at 41,743 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,167 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,162 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.4%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Guintoloan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Naga is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Guintoloan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Zamboanga Sibugay, which contains 389 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Guintoloan ranks 232nd by 2020 population.
