Barangay Angin

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Angin is one of the administrative divisions of Naguilian in La Union, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Angin had a population of 864. This made it the 34th largest of 37 barangays in Naguilian by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Angin accounted for approximately 1.66% of the total population of Naguilian, which stood at 52,189 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Angin moving from 857 residents to 864 residents, an intercensal change of +0.8%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Angin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Naguilian is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Angin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of La Union, which contains 576 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Angin ranks 420th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
