Barangay Caraycaray

Situated in Naval, Biliran, Barangay Caraycaray is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Caraycaray had a population of 4,467. This made it the 4th largest of 26 barangays in Naval by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caraycaray accounted for approximately 7.68% of the total population of Naval, which stood at 58,187 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Caraycaray changed from 4,177 to 4,467, a shift of +6.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Naval. Barangay Caraycaray is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Naval is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caraycaray, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Biliran, which contains 132 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Caraycaray ranks 4th by 2020 population.
