Barangay Pangudtan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pangudtan is one of the administrative divisions of Oras in Eastern Samar, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pangudtan had a population of 1,011. This made it the 12th largest of 42 barangays in Oras by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pangudtan accounted for approximately 2.70% of the total population of Oras, which stood at 37,451 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Pangudtan moving from 905 residents to 1,011 residents, an intercensal change of +11.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pangudtan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Oras is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pangudtan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
