Barangay Tiguib (Pob.)

Situated in Oras, Eastern Samar, Barangay Tiguib (Pob.) is one of 42 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tiguib (Pob.) had a population of 806. This made it the 16th largest of 42 barangays in Oras by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tiguib (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.15% of the total population of Oras, which stood at 37,451 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 919 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 806 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -12.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tiguib (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
