Barangay Lower Malinao

Barangay Lower Malinao is a small barangay in the municipality of Padada, located in the province of Davao Del Sur, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lower Malinao had a population of 1,474. This made it the 10th largest of 17 barangays in Padada by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lower Malinao accounted for approximately 4.93% of the total population of Padada, which stood at 29,878 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lower Malinao changed from 1,154 to 1,474, a shift of +27.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Padada. Barangay Lower Malinao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
