Barangay San Isidro

Barangay San Isidro is a small barangay in the municipality of Padada, located in the province of Davao Del Sur, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Isidro had a population of 1,914. This made it the 5th largest of 17 barangays in Padada by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro accounted for approximately 6.41% of the total population of Padada, which stood at 29,878 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Isidro changed from 1,533 to 1,914, a shift of +24.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Padada. Barangay San Isidro is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Padada is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Isidro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao Del Sur, which contains 414 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Isidro ranks 102nd by 2020 population. Barangay San Isidro is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
