Barangay Southern Paligue

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Southern Paligue is one of the administrative divisions of Padada in Davao Del Sur, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Southern Paligue had a population of 1,821. This made it the 7th largest of 17 barangays in Padada by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Southern Paligue accounted for approximately 6.09% of the total population of Padada, which stood at 29,878 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,613 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,821 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +12.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Southern Paligue is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
