Barangay Buenos Aires

Barangay Buenos Aires is a small barangay in the municipality of Pagsanghan, located in the province of Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Buenos Aires had a population of 586. This made it the 7th largest of 13 barangays in Pagsanghan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Buenos Aires accounted for approximately 7.36% of the total population of Pagsanghan, which stood at 7,959 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Buenos Aires moving from 609 residents to 586 residents, an intercensal change of -3.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Buenos Aires as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
