Barangay Canlapwas (Pob.)

Barangay Canlapwas (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Pagsanghan, located in the province of Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Canlapwas (Pob.) had a population of 1,086. This made it the 1st largest of 13 barangays in Pagsanghan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canlapwas (Pob.) accounted for approximately 13.64% of the total population of Pagsanghan, which stood at 7,959 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Canlapwas (Pob.) moving from 1,053 residents to 1,086 residents, an intercensal change of +3.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Canlapwas (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
