Barangay Poblacion 2

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion 2 is one of the administrative divisions of Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion 2 had a population of 3,258. This made it the 1st largest of 16 barangays in Pagudpud by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 2 accounted for approximately 12.98% of the total population of Pagudpud, which stood at 25,098 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,942 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,258 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion 2 is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Pagudpud is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion 2, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
