Barangay Masi

Barangay Masi is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Pamplona, located in the province of Cagayan, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Masi had a population of 2,245. This made it the 4th largest of 18 barangays in Pamplona by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masi accounted for approximately 9.06% of the total population of Pamplona, which stood at 24,781 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Masi moving from 1,998 residents to 2,245 residents, an intercensal change of +12.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Masi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pamplona is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Masi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
