Barangay Santo Santiago (Pob.)

Barangay Santo Santiago (Pob.) is a very small barangay in the municipality of Panganiban, located in the province of Catanduanes, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santo Santiago (Pob.) had a population of 281. This made it the 17th largest of 23 barangays in Panganiban by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Santiago (Pob.) accounted for approximately 2.89% of the total population of Panganiban, which stood at 9,713 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 288 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 281 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.4%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Santo Santiago (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Panganiban is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santo Santiago (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
