Barangay Tabuc Norte

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tabuc Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Panitan in Capiz, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tabuc Norte had a population of 636. This made it the 25th largest of 26 barangays in Panitan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tabuc Norte accounted for approximately 1.49% of the total population of Panitan, which stood at 42,565 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tabuc Norte changed from 882 to 636, a shift of -27.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Panitan. Barangay Tabuc Norte is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Panitan is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tabuc Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Capiz, which contains 473 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tabuc Norte ranks 419th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
