Barangay Badiangan

Barangay Badiangan is a small barangay in the municipality of Patnongon, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Badiangan had a population of 862. This made it the 16th largest of 36 barangays in Patnongon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Badiangan accounted for approximately 2.25% of the total population of Patnongon, which stood at 38,329 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Badiangan moving from 725 residents to 862 residents, an intercensal change of +18.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Badiangan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Patnongon is a municipality comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Badiangan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
