Barangay Igbobon

Barangay Igbobon is a small barangay in the municipality of Patnongon, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Igbobon had a population of 767. This made it the 19th largest of 36 barangays in Patnongon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Igbobon accounted for approximately 2.00% of the total population of Patnongon, which stood at 38,329 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Igbobon moving from 742 residents to 767 residents, an intercensal change of +3.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Igbobon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
