Barangay Midpapan II

Barangay Midpapan II is a small barangay in the municipality of Pigkawayan, located in the province of Cotabato, in the SOCCSKSARGEN region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Midpapan II had a population of 1,371. This made it the 17th largest of 40 barangays in Pigkawayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Midpapan II accounted for approximately 1.89% of the total population of Pigkawayan, which stood at 72,371 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,511 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,371 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -9.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Midpapan II as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Pigkawayan is a municipality comprising 40 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Midpapan II, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cotabato, which contains 543 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Midpapan II ranks 350th by 2020 population.
