Barangay Dintan

Barangay Dintan forms part of Pilar, a municipality in Abra, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dintan had a population of 362. This made it the 11th largest of 19 barangays in Pilar by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dintan accounted for approximately 3.57% of the total population of Pilar, which stood at 10,146 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Dintan moving from 415 residents to 362 residents, an intercensal change of -12.8%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dintan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pilar is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dintan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
