Barangay Binanwaanan

Barangay Binanwaanan forms part of Pili, a municipality in Camarines Sur, and is classified as a large barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Binanwaanan had a population of 5,188. This made it the 6th largest of 26 barangays in Pili by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Binanwaanan accounted for approximately 5.23% of the total population of Pili, which stood at 99,196 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,258 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,188 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +21.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Binanwaanan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Pili is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Binanwaanan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Binanwaanan ranks 49th by 2020 population. Camarines Sur is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
