Barangay New San Roque

Situated in Pili, Camarines Sur, Barangay New San Roque is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay New San Roque had a population of 3,946. This made it the 8th largest of 26 barangays in Pili by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay New San Roque accounted for approximately 3.98% of the total population of Pili, which stood at 99,196 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,605 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,946 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay New San Roque as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Pili is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay New San Roque, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Camarines Sur, which contains 1,063 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay New San Roque ranks 93rd by 2020 population.
