Barangay Camugao

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Camugao is one of the administrative divisions of Pinamungajan in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camugao had a population of 2,521. This made it the 11th largest of 26 barangays in Pinamungajan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camugao accounted for approximately 3.36% of the total population of Pinamungajan, which stood at 75,131 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Camugao moving from 2,048 residents to 2,521 residents, an intercensal change of +23.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camugao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pinamungajan is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camugao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
